Season Opener Information
Yearbook pictures will be taken on Saturday morning March 2nd - by Keyser Photography.
8:15 am - All Varsity players report in white uniform (including cleats) with your equipment. Both individual photos and a yearbook photo will be taken for varsity.
9:15 am - All other teams report in uniform with your equipment. Team photos will be taken immediately after the SnapRaise video. There will not be any individual photos for non-varsity teams.
Varsity will meet for a team hero shot. Team Captains will communicate location to players and clothing/uniform plan directly to the players. Each varsity player should also bring baseball equipment (glove, bat & catcher gear) and Letter Jacket if they have one.
At 9:00 am all players from all levels will be participating in making a Snap-Raise video and each player will make an individual page for fundraising. If you haven't seen a Snap-Raise fundraiser before, it is an online fundraising platform - you can watch this brief video to get an idea of how it works https://youtu.be/I4iVPNkQMts.
To maximize the percentage we receive in the fundraiser we must have full participation from all players. Full participation is defined as all rostered players sending out their page to 20 email addresses. Please help your player make this list of friends and family email addresses in a note on their phone so they can come prepared to paste the addresses into their personal Snap! page.
Currently a Varsity scrimmage is planned at about 10:30 am. All Varsity players and several other designated JV players will participate in an inter-squad scrimmage.
Beginning at 8:15am there will be Diamond Club members at the field to begin our annual workday. We would love to have as many parents as possible. Bring your work gloves, yard tools, paint brushes and willingness to pitch in. Send a message to email@example.com if you have questions about what to bring.
At 9:30am on March 2nd there will be a short training session for anyone who is new to being a Snack Shack volunteer or anyone interested in a refresher. All families are expected to volunteer for at least one shift during home games.
The varsity team will be returning to the Coach Bob Invitational in the Phoenix AZ metro area over spring break.
Coach will be holding practice in AZ at 3pm on Friday March 15th and expects all AZ players to be there. Coaches can coordinate picking players up at the airport at least 2 hours prior to this practice. There will be another practice at 10am Saturday March 16th and then the tournament begins Monday.
$625 due to coach on opening night, Feb 28th and do not include transportation to AZ. Make checks out to Chap Baseball.
We are offering a low cost transportation option, driving with coaches to AZ - $60 to AZ with a stay in ABQ overnight and $30 for a return seat. These are first come first serve so signup as soon as possible. https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30e0a4ba5a92ba0fe3-arizona
If you didn't make varsity and previously purchased transportation through Signup Genius please cancel your reservation on the signup and send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will process a refund.

For the third year in a row, Chaparral Baseball will be representing the Easter Bunny in a drive to create baskets for the children who receive benefits at the Parker Task Force.
We will be collecting items from each family at the Season Opener on February 28th. We are asking that all levels bring a bag or two of candy and then each grade level should bring the items listed for their class.
All Players - 1-4 bags of Easter themed wrapped candy
Seniors - Baskets or buckets
Juniors - Grass filler
Sophomores - Plastic eggs
Freshman - Small toys
There will be a basket building volunteer opportunity for players announced soon.
Thanks for your generosity in helping out the Parker Task Force.
