Q: When do winter workouts start & how do I signup my player?

A: Winter workouts will begin at 5:15am Wednesday January 9th and continue through February 22. Underclassmen will attend on M/W and Returning Varsity and Upperclassmen will attend on T/TH. Coach may move some players to different days as the weeks progress.   

Please return the following registration sheet  - Winter Workout Registration - to coach DiGiosio (507L) with payment of $275. You can turn this in before winter break or all the way up to the  first day of winter workouts. Checks should be made out to Chap Baseball. 

Q: Can you explain the $625 fee for the Rockies Tickets & how it helps the program?

A: The Rockies organization offers all HS programs in the state to participate in a fundraising program.  Our program pays roughly $400 per player to receive an allotment of Rockies tickets that are distributed to families for personal use or to sell. The remaining $225 goes directly to the team. In the past those funds help pay for field maintenance and upgrades, building sheds for equipment, purchasing a utility vehicle, new uniforms, coaches salaries and umpires to name a just a few expenses. 

The athletes also benefit from the program as they are given the opportunity to play at Coors Field in a Varsity game! All team levels attend this game. It is something that each player looks forward to doing from the time they are a freshman. Transportation and lunch are provided on Coors Field day and it's a very exciting event for everyone involved! Parents are also invited and encouraged to attend the game - there is no charge to get into the ball park that day. 

Q: Will there be a discount for my second player? 

A: The Chaparral Diamond Club has reconsidered this question and has come up with some financial options for families with more than one player.

Option 1 - Pay $625 for each player and get two packets of tickets that you can potentially sell to recoup your funds. 

Option 2 - Pay $625 for your first player and $225 for your second player and forgo a second packet of tickets. This will cover the fundraising portion of the Rockies tickets. 

Since there is some planning involved in the distribution of tickets it is important that families with multiple players contact the diamond club to let us know which option they are choosing.  Please email
