Tryouts begin next week and much more...

Field Clean Up Day

1st order of business:  Tomorrow's Field Clean Up Day is cancelled due to weather conditions. We do have a list of items that need to be worked on as soon is the weather warms up a bit. We will send out information soon about organizing people to help with these projects.

Winter Workouts

Thanks to all the parent who drove their kids to school at the crack of dark, got up to make breakfast, or helped their players rise early during the last 7 weeks. Most of all - way to go players - you did it!

Tryouts

Trouts begin February 26th. Players, please watch the website at http://www.chapwolverines.com/chapbaseball for updates from coach regarding tryouts. Only registered players who have been cleared by the athletic office will be allowed to participate. Emails are set to automatically go out at 10am each day, but if coach posts after this time the update will not be mailed out until the next day - so watching the website is critical.

Team Rosters & Season Opener Meeting

Coach is planning to post rosters on the evening of Wednesday, Feb 27th by 10pm. Rosters will be posted on this website on each individual team page. Then, on Thursday March 1st, there will be a mandatory parent meeting beginning at 6pm. Each family will be expected to write a check for $600 and in exchange will receive a packet of Rockies tickets that they are able to sell for their face value or less. Each family is also expected to join the Chaparral Diamond Club and membership details will be sent out in the next few days.

Team Pictures

March 3rd is team picture day. Keyser photography will be taking team photos for all four teams and individual photos for seniors. Players should plan on having all their uniform pieces including hats, shoes, and belts. Coach also has an inter-squad scrimmage and the snap-raise meeting scheduled that day. The alternate picture day is March 10th if needed.

Snap-Raise

On March 3rd all teams will participate in making a Snap-Raise video and each player will make an individual page for fundraising. If you haven't seen a snap-raise fundraiser before, it is an online fundraising platform - you can watch this brief video to get an idea of how it works https://youtu.be/I4iVPNkQMts. To maximize the percentage we receive in the fundraiser we must have full participation from all players. Full participation is defined as all rostered players sending out their page to 20 email addresses. Please help your player make this list of friends and family email addresses in a note on their phone so they can come prepared to paste the addresses into their personal snap-raise page.
