The Continental League is instituting a wood bat requirement this year during league play for all non-varsity teams.  All hitters will be required to swing a wood bat in order to speed up the pace of play.  What that means for our lower level teams is that our hitters will need to purchase their own wood bats.  The coaching staff is still discussing if this will be something we ask our players to do for the entire year, or just during league play.  However, with the addition of an end of the season league tournament for all 3 teams, league games will make up 13 games on the 19 game schedule. Because of that, we are leaning toward using them for all 19 games.
