Parent Meeting - Trees - Homecoming - Athletic Auction and more

Chap Family,

We hope you all are adjusting to the new school year and enjoying the last summer days.

We have a lot of important items/events to go over so please be sure to ready everything

PARENT MEETING:  Coach would like to host our first parent meeting on Sept. 13 @ 7 pm at Chap High School. The exact location is TBD

TREES: Thank you everyone who filled out the Tree survey. The results are in and YES, we will be planting trees in the next few weeks. We will send the sign-up genius once we need to get the watering started.

HOMECOMING FLOAT: We are hoping to have a float this year, but we are in need of a trailer and 8 bales of hay. If you have either and would be willing to help please reach out to Joe @ 720-387-0551.  In anticipation of getting everything we need the we have decided on “80’s Rock Band” as the theme for the float to go with the HoCo theme of  "Rewind".  If your player wants to ride the float, they are encouraged to dress the part as well as bring/make their best drum set or guitar. I’m thinking big hair, shreaded shirts and all things 80’s.

BASEBALL AUCTION: We finally have a date, time and place so now we need to kick it into high gear and get things rolling!

Chaparral will host its Athletic Silent Auction Fundraiser on November 5, 2022, 6-9 pm at The Legacy Center (Formerly the Wildlife Museum). Every sport is responsible for a certain number of assembled baskets. Our goal is 15 baskets. As a reminder, every Baseball family is asked to donate to the silent auction in some way.  If you would like to help with coordination and collection please reach out to Jody Jenkins who is in need of extra hands. This is an excellent opportunity for those of you who have a hard time during the season volunteering/donating. All funds raised go directly to our baseball program.

Ways to Donate to the Auction:

1. Give a financial donation, be done with it & avoid the nagging. Venmo @Jody-Jenkins-4 or you may also contact Jody for check or cash drop-off.

2. Gather fellow baseball families and create a themed basket of your own. Ideas on the Sign-Up Genius are just a start! Feel free to create your own Basket Theme. You can identify that on the Sign-Up Genius, or text Jody (720) 232-5331 what you have.

3. Procure a donated item from a favorite store, restaurant, or any place you have a connection. Vacation rentals, sports tickets, sports memorabilia, etc. are great also. Attached is the  Letter to give to potential donors/business owners and our tax ID which they can use for their taxes.

4. Regift a fabulous new holiday present that just may have not been of interest to you.

5. Obtain some of the suggested items on the Sign-Up Genius.

6. Volunteer!!! This is a short-term commitment!! I need basket assemblers, personal shoppers, and crafty people to help maximize our donations into awesome displays.

Please reach out to Jody Jenkins, who is spearheading this event, with any questions and to communicate plans, arrange pick up for your item(s), exchange Donation form, and receipt for tax purposes.
