CHSAA as this point has given 3 sports that ok to move forward with their season. Softball is one of them! However, they are making some modifications to what its required/allowed. Here are a few:

1. Cutting the usual 23 game season down to 16 games. 12 games for JV. We will play our league schedule, but are in the process of figuring out what other 6 teams we will be playing. Some schools aren't allowed to play outside of their league.

2. Post season - the Regional round has been eliminated for this year. 16 teams will qualify for a 1 day state tournament. League champs will automatically qualify. The remaining teams will be those with the highest RPI score.

3. Rosters - limited to 12 players per team.  THIS MIGHT CHANGE.  However, this is where it stands now.

Registration is now open. Families are being asked to deliver physical forms to the athletic office electronically. DCSD does not want people in their building that don't have to be there yet. All registration requirement are due by Aug 7.

Field clean up day Saturday, Aug 1 - POSTPONED. The batting cage net, which was our biggest project, has not arrived yet. Once it does I'll put out a date and time requesting help to put it up.

Practices resume Monday, Aug 3 at 3:15. Wednesday and Thursday will be our final summer practices.

Tryouts will be conducted Monday, Aug 10 @ 3:30. The mile run will be part of your evaluation!!
