Good evening everyone. In case you haven't seen it already, I wanted to inform you all that CHSAA has officially cancelled the 2020 spring sports season.  All activities and athletics are cancelled for the remainder of the 2020 season, ending June 1. 

Obviously I am as disappointed as you all.   However, I will continue to hold out hope that we can do something for our guys. My hope rests in this statement made by CHSAA:  "After June 1, all decisions regarding student and coach contact, virtual workouts, virtual tryouts and eighth-grade contact will be made at the local level."  Which means DCSD would have to open our buildings and field and allow for teams to gather for practices and/or games.  However, CHSAA also strongly recommends that federal and state guidelines are adhered to after June 1. "Public safety and monitoring of data points must take precedence over the desire to conduct activity and athletic practices, camps, scrimmages or events."  So until I am told we can't, I'll hope for 1 opportunity after June 1 to get our guys together and do something.

Until then, we need to now start collecting uniforms. Each head coach will be contacting players this week as to when and where this will happen. Please make sure all gear is returned.
